2024: Another Busy Year at Active Hands
2024 has been another awesomely busy year at Active Hands! Achievements, exhibitions, new colleagues, weddings, new products – this year has had it all and we can’t believe it’s nearly 2025!
A Growing Team
This year has seen us welcome Bev to our team at HQ. Bev has joined the Dispatch team and is responsible for packing your orders and checking stock. Bev is married to Dan and Mum to a teenage girl who is a keen go-kart racing driver. When she’s not at work you can find Bev cooking, walking the dog, or curled up with a good book.
Rob Achieves His Six-Star Medal
Back in March our CEO, Rob, jetted off to Japan to complete the final marathon of a six-marathon series. He came home triumphant, the first T52 wheelchair racer to ever achieve the Abbott Six Star Finisher medal for completing all six of the World Marathon Majors: Berlin, London, New York, Boston, Chicago and Tokyo.
Never one to completely unplug from work, Rob was of course busy continuing developments for our new Wheelchair Racing Gloves, and putting the prototypes through their paces!
Finding New Solutions
This year, as usual, we’ve been busy squirrelling away to bring you new and improved solutions for challenges faced by those with reduced hand function. We’ve added far too many to mention, but there have certainly been some highlights.
Wedding Bells
Our Business Development Manager, Jo, got married in August, and then ditched us for the month for an incredible road-trip around mainland Europe!
Spreading the Word
It’s been such a busy year for exhibitions and conferences – we’ve been in Coventry, Birmingham, Farnborough, Nottingham, Lincoln, Exeter, Manchester, Liverpool… even Düsseldorf! We love to meet the people who use our products, and their families and healthcare professionals. Thank you to everyone who came to meet us and try out our amazing products in person! We’re excited to meet more of you in 2025 – we’re already booked to visit Kidz to Adultz in Coventry, Newport and Farnborough; Naidex in Birmingham; and Rehacare in Düsseldorf!
