Description
The Giraffe hands-free bottles spares are available for the straw/drinking tube and bottle neck. Giraffe recommend that you replace the tube and check valve once a month and the neck every 8 months.
The flexible neck is durable but over time dirt and germs can build up in the neck. Therefore, Giraffe recommend that the neck is replaced every 8 months to maintain optimum bottle hygiene and function. The flexible neck can have individual links removed if required.
The straw/drinking tube is smooth: its non-porous bore will not trap particulates or promote bacterial growth. It is partially bio-sourced, phthalate-free, and biphenyl A-free.
The Giraffe Bottles comes with a cage but you may want to buy a spare for a different chair, bed, desk or anywhere else.
The Suction Bulb can be used to pull the liquid through the straw allowing easy drinking.
The desktop holder is weighted to keep your giraffe bottle standing upright on a flat surface. It weighs 1.24kg so your bottle won’t tip over or move across the surface! Great for your desk, dining or bedside table.
The Rail Mount Bottle Holder allows you to attach your Giraffe Bottle to wheelchairs with rail supports, such as Permobile and Quantum wheelchairs.
The Under Cushion Bottle Holder slides under your wheelchair or mattress cushion.
You’ll only need Giraffe bottle spares if you already have a Giraffe bottle!

I purchased the Giraffe drinking bottle a while ago and this was a replacement tube for it. My opinion on the tube is that it is expensive for what it is, plus the £4.95 postage only adds to the cost.

Unfortunately we have to buy these in from the US and, with customs and shipping, the cost to us is very high. We then have to pay to store the items, staff and material costs for packing and the postage costs themselves. We would love to offer these items at a lower cost but we aren’t covering our costs on some of these spares as it is.

The giraffe bottle is a huge help in my daily life and was an even greater help in the hospital on IMC. The only downside is that it’s really expensive for what it is, and if you use it on a power chair and drive faster than 6km/h, it leaks, even with the straw right up in the air. I use a strap-on cap for straws it, which I need to open with my mouth, and it’s quite a hassle.
